Thirteen tricks
Thirteen cards each, spades always trump, and a contract to make before the tricks run out.
Bid, trump, and make your contract
Spades is the partnership trick-taking game where every hand starts with a promise. Bid your tricks, make your contract, and keep an eye on the bags—all in your browser.
Spades rewards a partnership that can read a hand, cover a partner, and resist the urge to take one trick too many. Cards4Play gives you the table, the bidding, and the scorekeeping.

Bid your tricks, follow suit, and use spades to take control. Make the contract to score.
Standard Spades is a four-player partnership game. The full 52-card deck is dealt thirteen cards to each player, and spades are always trump. Players bid the number of tricks they expect to take, and the partnership tries to make its combined contract.
The player to the dealer's left leads the first trick. Players must follow suit if they can; otherwise they may play any card, including a spade. The highest spade wins a trick containing trumps, and otherwise the highest card of the suit led wins. Partnerships score for making their contract, and overtricks become bags.
